The Postojna Wireless project created more then 70 access points (free internet access signal emmiters, that allow free connections to HotSpotPo network), that covers the majority of the city area and the center areas of all the villages in the Commune. The installations allow free wireless internet access anywhere within the individual access point's signal range.

Users that would like to connect through the wireless network, need a terminal (Personal computer or PDA or Mobile phone) with Wi-Fi technology. The proximity of Wi-Fi signal is usually enough to get connected since most of the devices configure HotSpot-Po access point automaticaly..

Users that want to access the service from their PC's have to upgrade them with a wireless network card. If a user is outside the range of Wi-Fi signal, he/she can strengthen the signal with an additional active device (such as Linksys, Lewelone, Edimax and similar) for wireless connection and an antenna.
